It's finally winding down... well I'm finally winding down. This week has been quiet on the roads, public transport and generally work.

I don't know if I ever mentioned this but I don't celebrate xmas so I tend to spend my holidays alone and doing nothing. This xmas I'm really tempted to watch Sherlock Holmes or that Morgans movie with Hugh Grant and SJP.... I think that the cinema near my place is actually opened on xmas day?

As for NYE, I'll be out and about this year in the city because it's been a while and I just want to see what the crowd is like! I'm not a fan of the crowds so I may end up just doing nothing out of laziness! Depends on the weather I suppose. Warm = yay I'm out, cool = lazy sleepy day.

One thing I did do was go out for dinner with my Japanese class-classmates last Friday and it was a really fun night!

Here is a rather decorated soft shell crab

In anime news (and let's be honest when won't I talk about this)... I bought a One Piece movie book at Kinokuniya the other day!

I mean I figured since I love this anime so much, it doesn't hurt to support it... though it probably costs a lot less in Japan. It is packed with lots of goodies and pics; basically the costumes for the movie and also various seiyuu messages. There is a lovely message from Odacchi and my favourite is Kappei's who draws a very cute Usopp!

I can't translate all of it but I learnt a long time ago to read Nakai's name in Kanji and I have to say that he has very neat writing. Plus his use of foreign words makes me think of Date... Odacchi of course draws a fabulous Luffy and thank heavens writes in kana mostly (which I can read). Just for those of you who may wonder, my chinese surname is 周 and the Japanese pronunciation does sort of rhymes with it but the meaning is the same (mostly) so it's one Kanji I learnt to read early on!

Well, it's the final episode of Miracle Train next week! And I'll be missing this series... This blog lists some animes starting in the new year. Not included also is Starry Nights, which has the same concept as Miracle Train but has 12 shounen, ie 12 horoscopes personified as men. I'm also curious about Dance in the Vampire Bund, Ookami Kakushi and I might try the new Gundam. I am always on the lookout for new animes so I can't wait. It'll be interesting to try some new stuff and listen to new seiyuus...

I've also been browsing [personal profile] naye's and [personal profile] shayera's blogs about their experiences at this year's Jump Festa.... Not sure if I'll have the guts to go to such a crowded event one day but I do love reading about it!!! I love how sweet and adorable the seiyuus are and how much fun (if exhausting) it was. I dare say that I appreciate reading anyone's experiences and if you know of anyone else who's written up something, please let me know. I really am curious to know how the Gintama panel went! I'm sure that Sugita would have been hillarious :)

I also really enjoy reading Kappei's blog and Hirata's blog entries about Jump Festa. Hirata especially writes very gratefully for all the fans for coming. 皆さんに感謝!仲間に感謝!ONE PIECEに感謝っ! I do notice that he uses "te" a bit at the end of his sentences... :)
And don't you just love the kanji for nakama? Never would I have thought that these combination can mean a word which "friend" fails to connote!

Also finally, [personal profile] ladysunflow, I have received your xmas card!!! Considering that it got here 6 months late last year and there was a postal strike in Aust, I think that this is indeed good news for 2009. Thank you :)
