I almost didn't go out tonight! I hadn't really wanted to do anything this year and was feeling rather depressed because my family had all gone away and my friends had all had someone else they'd rather be with or went abroad... plus, the venue is where I work and I honestly don't want to see it anymore!!!
I did some leg work at the gym on Tuesday and could barely walk yesterday and today!!! I was also bit sad that there was no Gintama last night!
So I almost stayed home and said "Screw NYE". But on a whim, I decided to head out late, literally arriving 10 mins before the 9pm fireworks in Milsons Point. In addition, I was planning to try the city but gave up because I wasn't sure I wanted to face the multitudes there and transport back on a crowded train...
Anyhow, here are some pics!

I arrived late and there was already a crowd at Bradfield Park, but still lots of spce to squeeze in.
Here are the lines of Portaloos... geez I'm SO GLAD that I didn't have to go anytime that night...! And this photo isn't crooked; it's actually a slope!
The city looked rather nice next to the Opera House. And I've been to quite a number of cities... all beautiful but there's only one Opera House as famous as this one...
And so they started...
I confess that the view is better from McMahon's Point
Being under the bridge really makes it hard to take a photo of fireworks flying off the bridge since the fireworks are above you!

There were also fireworks in other parts of the city... on the Pyrmont side (I think?)
And they were pretty!
In the end there was a lot of smoke!
So this is it! Welcome to 2010! Wherever you are, I hope you are all doing good and enjoying a day.
Even if you're alone (like me), don't hesitate to go out! I actually did meet a nice girl who coincidentally worked near me and lived in Chatswood... it was a fun night and I wasn't as alone as I thought I was!
